I can explain this for people on the west side of Detroit and Phoenix. Let’s talk about highways 96 (Detroit) and the 60 (Phoenix). The police catch a speeder on the freeway doing 25 over the speed limit, so what do they do? They shut down the freeway so nobody else can break the law with that freeway. But you say you get to work legally on that freeway every morning? Sorry, as long as someone can use that road to break the law it mush remain closed! There are other roads you can legally get to work on so stop complaining.
