In 1974 Tom Harkin was elected to the house of Representatives, the national debt was $500 billion dollars. He is a now US Senator, he has spent the last 37 years in Washington and the national debt is now 14.3 Trillion. Does he take any responsibly for the 13.8 trillion added since he took power? Nope. Senator Harkin says raising the dept limit is  “not for future borrowing but to pay the debts that we racked up in the past”. He is saying we have a balanced budget and the borrowing id to pay past debts? LIE, LIE LIE. They are borrowing to pay the INTEREST on the debt and new debt spending.

Also, he says the debt “Which, mostly was racked up by a Republican House, a Republican Senate and a Republican President in the last 8 years.” The Democrats have had control of the Senate since January 2007, four and a half years ago. By the way, the debt when his party took control of the Senate was 9 trillion, that’s right, they added 5 trillion in the last four years. The Democrats also had control of the house from January 2007 to January 2011. That man is not honest, the people of Iowa should be ashamed.

I think it was postponed due to global warming, not! How many meetings and events do they have to have interrupted by cold and snow before they figure this out? Well, they are politicians with an agenda. Don’t they realize how stupid this makes them look? Once again, they are politicians.
